Meet the team
Veronica Clark - Speech & Language Therapist and Founder of VC Speech Therapy
Veronica Clark is an experienced adult Speech and Language Therapist with over 22 years of clinical practice. She graduated from the University of Malta with a BSc in Speech Therapy in 2004 and has since worked across a wide range of healthcare settings, including acute and rehabilitation hospitals and community services, both in Malta and the UK.
In 2020, driven by a desire to deliver highly specialist, person-centred care while creating a more sustainable work–life balance, Veronica founded VC Speech Therapy.
Alongside her private practice, Veronica works part-time within the NHS with Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust. She forms part of the Voice and Upper Airway team and leads a number of service development projects focused on improving care pathways for people living with Parkinson’s disease.
Veronica specialises in Voice and Upper Airway disorders, Parkinson’s disease, and Swallowing disorders. Her professional expertise is deeply informed by lived experience: she was a long-term carer for her mother, who lived with Parkinson’s disease for 26 years. This personal journey gave her a profound understanding of the complexity of the condition and shaped her compassionate, practical approach to supporting people living with Parkinson’s and their families.
Alongside her clinical work, Veronica has been actively involved in Parkinson’s advocacy and education and has worked within the Parkinson’s voluntary sector across several countries. This combination of specialist clinical training, lived experience, and advocacy underpins her commitment to high-quality, evidence-based therapy that genuinely improves quality of life.
Tor Parker - Associate Speech & Language Therapist
Tor is a part time associate clinician with VC Speech Therapy and brings over ten years of specialist experience supporting people with Parkinson’s including delivering LSVT LOUD.
In her NHS role she works within a community neuro team and has played a key role in strengthening local Parkinson’s support, including running a well-received communication group and building close links with Parkinson’s UK. She recognises the value of multidisciplinary collaboration in supporting people with Parkinson’s and has taken steps to investigate the development of an integrated communication-physiotherapy group. Patients consistently report improved confidence and vocal volume under her care.
As part of VC Speech Therapy, she upholds our core values of compassionate, personalised, and high-quality care. She is committed to helping people with Parkinson’s achieve meaningful communication goals and offers flexible virtual appointment options to make therapy accessible. She has received very positive feedback from clients she has worked with and continues to be a great addition to our team.
